I've been busy with school as of late. I had my first paid PA gig a few weeks ago for 7 days with a NYC Company. That was alot of fun. I'm producing a friends senior short film for school which shoots on Aug. 9th. Also, the 48 hour film project is coming up on the 8th of August.
I graduate on the 19th of September I think it is. I'm not stoked for the graduation ceremony or the portfolio show. Seeing everyone so crammed together last term with hardly any professionals coming by for each individual field, it makes me really really really not want to attend. I don't think it's mandatory but I definately think it is frowned upon not to attend. I will probably not attend.
The week of finals I will be packing the few belongings I have into my car and making the journey down to Santa Rosa, CA where I think I'll work some and save up for a move to LA or SF. All the while I will be looking for PA or AP gigs in and around SF. I really look forward to dedicating myself to my career.

Luke Ross and myself took First Prize in a Ford sponsored Sync technology contest on youtube. We co-produced, and Luke shot/ edited. We made 3 spec spots but only one made it in. That was alot of fun.

The site is now complete... awaiting new production stills and videos. I've applied to a couple internships while looking for a paying job at the same time. This term I'm taking 4 classes and next term I'll be taking 3 classes. I'm stoked to be close to a graduation date.
Beatrice is slowly coming together. We have a great reply for talent. Crew, not so much. I'm stoked to start shooting in early May. I know it will come together near mid April. Very excited!!!! I've scrapped the project. :(

I'be been updating the site slowly as I learn different things. I've got the stills page the way I want it. Before it had six images that each went to the same gallery, but now I've made it so each thumbnail goes to a separate gallery. Also, the contact page is now opperational and is pretty cool.

I've begun pre-production on my newest short, titled BEATRICE. The concept stemed from my fear of horror movies - alternatively it will be a prelude to conquering my fear by facing it head on. I'm stoked to be shooting on the HVX. I've secured a Letus adapter for 4 days. The production will be a 3 day shoot with a day prior for the DP to get some scene files organized and some messing around with camera settings and lens focuses. The 3 day shoot will be broken into two and one. The first two days will be a bulk of the shoot, then we will make an assembly edit, then day 3 will be the smaller scenes and whatever pickup shots we need to head to colour and ADR/ audio mix.
UPDATE: Passed all my classes. I put alot of effort into Foundation Portfolio. I developed a reel, dvd menu, resume, cover letter, business card, this AWESOME website, and a nifty folder I crafted from a sigle sheet of recycled paper. Furthermore, I got a B in Studio Sound Recording which I thought was a little off, but that's okay. I bought a M-Audio Firewire 410 as a result of the class because I really dig audio and need to bulk up my skill level. Thanks, Co!

I've dumped alot of time into this site. I think it looks great! I got around to encoding an audio project in flash. It's not production work, but I was really proud of it this term, so I hosted it here. Finals are next week. I'm not too worried.

I've been working in this site for near to 8 hours... time change messed me up. The videobox option looks really cool. For reference, I've used a video of mine from YouTube, but will be making custom flash movies to work with the vidbox files... widescreen probably... to give a more robust and professional feel... not to mention a higher quality picture.

The Production stills I have up now are from a production that is currently on the back burner. I would like to revive this project in the spring. Furthermore I hope to have each of the six thumbnails link to a different set of production stills.
The application called lightbox allows for the site to have a simplistic appeal but for the image gallery to take on a professional look. I'm very impressed and pleased at the same time with the product.

A good friend of mine hooked me up with this site template today. I'm trying to get the hang of simple html while providing an interesting site for displaying my professional self. I will have the site live by Thursday March 20th.
